Obituary of Lyndon Keith Westmoreland, Sr.

Mr. Lyndon Keith Westmoreland, 82, of Forsyth County passed away on January 22, 2024 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born in Guilford County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Homer and Virginia (Stafford) Westmoreland and husband of Bertha (Griffin) Westmoreland. Lyndon was an avid golfer and had an immense love of all sports. He was a veteran of the United States Navy with four years of service. He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha Westmoreland; his son, Lyndon "Lenny" Westmoreland Jr.; his step-son, Steve Blair; his step-grandchildren, Dina Manley and Travis Blair; his step-great-grandchildren, Owen Manley, Jonas Blair, and Griffon Blair; and his brother, Stephen Westmoreland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepchild, Jerrell Blair; his step-grandchild, Leslie Blair; his brothers, Billy Westmoreland, David Westmoreland, Barry Westmoreland, and Paul Westmoreland. Graveside funeral services and military funeral honors will be performed at 11:00AM on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
