Obituary of Thomas Paige Fuqua

Thomas Paige Fuqua, 65, of Burlington, NC, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 26, 2023.

A native of Burlington, NC, Paige was the husband of 38 years to Myra Canady Fuqua and the son of the late Kenneth Lee Fuqua and Betty Story Fuqua, who survives. He served as a Combat Engineer in the U.S. Army. Paige was a faithful member of Harvest Baptist Church for more than 35 years. He was a Safety Officer and a member of the E. M. Holt Volunteer Fire Department serving for more than 30 years. Paige's desire was for his family to know that he loved them dearly, he was ready to meet his Savior, and to make sure that all of his friends and family knew the Lord. 

Survivors include his wife, Myra of the home; mother, Betty of Burlington, NC; son, Kenneth Hoyle Fuqua and wife, Meredith of Burlington, NC; daughters, Kari Vaughn and husband, Russell of Lakewood, CO, and Victoria Canady and Justin "Opie" Hall of Burlington, NC; two grandchildren, Piper Madeline Fuqua and Paisley Marie Hall; sister, Joanna Horner and husband, Jeff of Graham, NC; and two brothers, Mark Fuqua and wife, April of Burlington, NC, and Rodney Fuqua of Burlington, NC.

A memorial service celebrating Paige's life will be held at 4:00PM Monday, December 4, 2023 at Harvest Baptist Church, Burlington, NC with Pastor Dave Winstead officiating. The family will greet friends from 3:00PM to 3:45PM Monday prior to the service at the church.
