Obituary of Lexie Fowler Garner

Lexie Fowler Garner, 93, of Greensboro, NC passed away on October 10, 2023 at Eden Center Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth (Dabbs) Fowler and wife of the late Clyde Garner.

Lexie worked at Cone Mills for many years then at Vick's Manufacturing (later Procter & Gamble). She was a member of Faith Assembly and State Street Church of God, now Gate City Church of God in Greensboro, NC. She was a strong woman of faith who loved to sing. She was very loving to her family and everyone who was blessed to know her. To know her was to love her!

Lexie is survived by her children, Roby Lee Dickerson Jr., Margaret Ware, Clarence David Dickerson, Carolyn Madonna, Susan Dickerson, Joyce Palacios, Regina Negrete; one sister, Beulah Roarke; son-in-laws, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and great-great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by Roby Lee Dickerson Sr. along with her two sons, David Wayne Dickerson and Dwight Dale Dickerson.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel on Friday, October 13th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral services will be at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel on Saturday, October 14th at 11:00am. Entombment will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum, Greensboro.
