Obituary of Chris Michels Germann
Chris Michels Germann, 61, of Archdale passed away on September 29, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital Greensboro. A native of St Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Walter and Blanche (Price) Germann. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Walter Nicholas Germann.
He was a proud employee with Old Dominion Freight Line for over 25 years as a truck driver. Chris loved spending time with his grandchildren. Taking trips to various places with his family, watching wrestling and comedy were his favorite pastimes. He was a diehard Tarheels fan and always had a smile on his face.
Chris is survived by his loving daughters; Christi Cox (husband Brad) and Brittney Germann, stepson; Adam Dillon, grandchildren; Asheton, Chevelle, Cheyenne, Alexis and Nicholas, siblings; Tracy Locklear, Mary Ritchason, James "Jim" Germann, Susan Roberts, Daniel Germann, Lisa Smith and Carol Collazo; stepmother; Judith Germann, former wife; Patty Germann, loving girlfriend; Sandy Scism, and Goddi his dog. He also played a huge role in the lives of many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service, Lambeth Chapel on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Pierce - Jefferson Funeral Service, Lambeth Chapel with Pastor Charles Arnold, officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park, Greensboro. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in honor of Chris Germann.
