Obituary of Anna Poliseo

Anna Poliseo passed away in the early hours of Friday, September 29, one day before her 101st birthday.

Anna was born September 30, 1922 to Giuseppe and Theresa Valentino in Plainfield, New Jersey. She was the second of four children.

Anna worked as a seamstress before attending cosmetology school. Afterwards she worked as a hairdresser. She met a WWII Navy veteran, Joseph Poliseo, and married him on September 7, 1947. They had two children. Carol and Joseph Jr.

Anna was preceded in death by her sister Mary, her parents, her brother Rudy, and her beloved husband, Joe, in 2000. She is survived by her older brother Joe, two children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Anna always had a warm smile and a friendly word for everyone. She loved to tell stories. She was dedicated to her church and an avid volunteer at local food pantries. She also made the greatest eggplant parmesan known to man.

She will be missed dearly.
