Obituary of Dorothy Jean Eaton

Ms. Dorothy "Dot" Jean Eaton, 91, of Kernersville passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023 in Winston-Salem. A native of Forsyth County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Boney and Bezzie (Mabe) Glenn and wife of the late Clyde Eaton. Dorothy had a passion for cooking, especially pound cakes of any kind. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Diane Eaton; her sister, Virginia "Toots" Clark; her numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Eaton; her son, Steve Eaton; and her sisters, Lois Glenn Redmon, Sylvia "Sib" Smith, and Mary Royal. The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284 on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM. Funeral services will be follow beginning at 12:00PM with Pastor Jeff Barnes officiating. Interment will be at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville, NC.
