Obituary of Rebecca Eva Noriega

Ms. Rebecca "Becky" Eva Noriega, 74, of Kernersville passed away on July 25, 2023 at her home. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Willene (Stodghill) Mahaffey and wife of the late Johnnie Pruitt, Sr. and then wife of the late Freddy Noriega. Rebecca is survived by her special pet bird, Bubba; her children, Ms. Yvonne Denise Smith and partner, Smitty, Mr. Johnnie Lee Pruitt, Jr. and wife, Amy, and David Pruitt; her grandchildren, Julia, Frank, Brandi, Melissa; her great-grandchildren, Sierra, Chevy, Dakota, Azazuel, Ezekuel, Autumn; her sister, Shirley Smith; and many other extended family across Texas and Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Pruitt, Sr. and husband, Freddy Noriega; her sisters, Betty Alexander and Barbara Mahaffey; and her pet bird, Rainy. Per the family's wishes, there will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
