Obituary of Clyde Rubert Eaton

Clyde Rubert Eaton, 95, of Kernersville passed away on July 1, 2023 at his home. Born in Stokes County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Silas and Mattie (Cromer) Eaton and husband of Dorothy Eaton.

He worked as a building contractor for most of his life with over 200+ homes served in the surrounding area. He enjoyed spending time at Oak Island. As a self-taught musician, one of his greatest passions was playing the guitar. He would entertain anyone with a song.

Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Eaton of 73 years; his daughter, Diane Eaton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steven Eaton; his three brothers; and six sisters.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W Mountain St, Kernersville, NC 27284 on July 6, 2023 from 2:00PM-3:00PM. Funeral services will follow beginning at 3:00PM with Pastor Jeff Barnes officiating. Interment will be at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville, NC.
