Obituary of Glenda Jean Wilson

Glenda Jean Wilson, 81, of Kernersville passed away on June 30, 2023 at home. Born in Francisco, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Eddie and Edna (Hall) Lawson and wife of the late Weldon Wilson.

First and foremost, she loved her family. She enjoyed spending time gardening, crafting, and making quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord and was a devout Christian strong in her faith.

Glenda is survived by her children, Cathy Ayers (Mike), Tammy VonCannon (Greg), Sandra Jenkins (Turk), Jeff Wilson (Sally), Steve Wilson, and Shannon Wilson; her grandchildren, Chris, Brandon, Jordan, Emily, and Katie; her great-grandchildren, Gwennie, Carter, Addy, Rylee, Edith, and Lucy; her sisters, Viona, Alice, Sylvia, and Sheila.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Wilson; her great-granddaughter, Iris; her siblings, Ellen, Billy, Bobby, Joan, and Doug.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville NC 27284 on Monday, July 3, 2023 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM with Pastor Ottis Hurst officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Gur Cemetery, 1050 Cemetery St, Kernersville, NC 27284.
