Obituary of Kevin Vaughn Pyles

Kevin Vaughn Pyles, 72, of Kernersville, NC, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 16, 2023. He was born on December 2, 1950, in Ravenna, OH, to Kenneth and Marilyn (Newcomb) Pyles. Kevin spent most of his professional career in pharmaceutical sales and was a loyal, caring, and committed provider for his family. He graduated from Ravenna High School in 1969, and later received a degree from Kent State University in 1973.

Kevin was a family man who loved spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Terrie (Davis) Pyles; his daughter, Kristen (Ron) Rinkenberg; his son, Jeff (Lauren) Pyles; his grandchildren, Cullen and Lane Pyles, and Rachel and Levi Rinkenberg; his nephew, Brian Cettomai; and nieces, Deanna (Brad) Saylor and Laela (Brandon) Tec. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; his mother, Marilyn; his sister, Brenda; and his brother, Rick.

In his free time, Kevin loved watching sports, especially his favorite teams - the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Cavaliers, and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events.

Kevin worshiped at Ravenna First Church of God until he moved to NC in 2016, where he became a member of Archdale First Church of God.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Archdale First Church of God, located at 7009 Weant Rd, Archdale, NC 27263. Visitation will start at 4:00 PM followed by the service at 5:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any charitable contributions be made to the Archdale First Church of God Youth.
