Obituary of Alexandrina Safta

Alexandrina "Sandra" Safta, 83, of Kernersville passed away on February 23, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born in Romania, she was the daughter of the late Neagu and Maria (Dobre) Soare and wife of Eugen Safta.

She is to be remembered as the mother of all, with smiling eyes, a cheerful voice and her heart given to everyone.

Alexandrina is survived by her husband, Eugen; her daughter, Anca Safta and husband, Stefanos; her granddaughters, Maria and Daria; her sister, Elena Otel and husband, Grigore; and her nieces, Ileana and Mihaela Soare.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Nelu Soare.

A funeral wake and prayer vigil will be held at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service - Kernersville Chapel, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville NC 27284 on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM with Father Noah Carter leading the prayer vigil. A funeral mass will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00PM with Rev. Jacob Mlakar officiating. Interment will follow the mass and take place at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 2730 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
