Obituary of Alisha O. Genovezos

Alisha O. Genovezos, 37, of Winston-Salem, NC died on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 after fighting a long battle with cancer. 

 

She was born in New Bedford, MA and lived there for 25 years, then moved to Winston-Salem, NC in 2011. Alisha was employed by Old Vineyard Behavioral Health as a Mental Health Technician; thereafter, she became employed by Sunrise Senior Living/Brighton Gardens as a Team Care Manager until 2021.

 

Alisha loved spending time with her children, family, and friends. Her friends were important to her and she was always willing to give words of encouragement and support. Alisha was also a super serious shopper, including shopping Amazon 24/7.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Mark A. Genovezos of New Bedford, MA.

 

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son, Andrew S. Alvarez, Jr.; daughter, London R. Farmer; sister, Kim-rai E. Guyton; mother, Gladys Lynne Pinto; and paternal grandmother, Olga S. Marden.  She is also survived by a niece, Kymari D. Rosa, and two nephews, Jason E. Watlington, Jr. and Johnathon D. Guyton. 

 

The family will receive friends from 1:30pm to 2:00pm on Monday, February 06, 2023 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00pm at the Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service Kernersville Chapel.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Cancer Society or any cancer research entity.
