Obituary of Lois Alene (Howard) Rafferty

Lois Alene (Howard) Rafferty of Greensboro, NC passed away on December 14, 2022 at 8:06 pm due to injuries incurred from an automobile accident in Cincinnati, OH on 12/6/22.

Lois was preceded in death by her Father Buford Howard, Mother Addie Frances (Taylor) Howard, Brother Kenneth Howard and Sister Alice (Howard) Bishop.  She is Survived by Brothers Merrell Howard and Gerald Howard (Ethel), children James Michael Rafferty, Kimberly (Rafferty) Myers (Douglas), Pamela Dawn Rafferty, Diana (Rafferty) Davis and David Bruce Rafferty. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Lois, Mom, Mawmaw and BFF, is remembered as a woman who never met a stranger, just a friend she hadn’t met yet!  She brightened any room with her presence and beautiful smile. She was a fiercely independent woman with a passion for family, Elvis Presley, and her spicy novels. She will be remembered in every walk Kim takes, in every morning drive to work David makes, in every trip for UDF  hot fudge sundaes Pam makes, every sunrise Diana sees at Holden Beach, and for Jimmy, it will be every time he sits down to a meal and closes his eyes remembering the family dinners she created.  She will be remembered by many others in the numerous ways she touched their lives.
