Obituary of Marshall William Richardson

Marshall William Richardson, 61, of Winston-Salem passed away on November 7, 2022 at his residence. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Allen Richardson and the late Betsy and Dewey Bridges and was the husband of Chris Richardson.

Marshall was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was a good man with a huge heart. He loved his family, friends, employees, and animals; and was loved by them in return. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a master craftsman. He owned a construction company for many years until his health failed. He was also a very talented musician. He enjoyed being outdoors and was happiest when he could share his outdoor activities with his family. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, skiing, boating, gardening, and birdwatching. His kind heart, wry sense of humor, and smile will be remembered and missed. 

Marshall is survived by his wife, Mrs. Chris Richardson; his sons, Tyler (Heather) Richardson, Dillon (Morgan) SaintSing; his daughter, Angel (Jason) Kokx; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Savannah, Anna Leigh, Ian, Ava, Eli, Alyssa, and Zaylie; his sister, Dinah (Jim) Flippin; his niece, Adrienne Flippin; his nephew, Jacob Bridges; and his faithful companion, Sweetie.

In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by his brother, Dewey "Judge" Bridges.

A memorial service celebrating Marshall's life will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 323 Hopkins Road, Kernersville, NC 27284 with Pastor Elliot Lutz officiating. The family will greet guests from 1:00PM-2:00PM prior to the start of service.
