Obituary of Rebecca Ann McDade

Mrs. Rebecca Ann McDade, 78, of Greensboro, died Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Beacon Place.

Mrs. McDade was born January 8, 1944 to Luther and Annice (Simmons) Slate. She loved the beach and beach music, enjoying the flowers the she planted and spending precious moments with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDade was preceded in death by two siblings; Steve Slate and Elva Kennedy. She is survived by her loving children; John McDade (Melinda), Dewey "Trip" McDade, and Todd McDade; four grandchildren, Austin, Kendall, Sydney, and Graham; three siblings, Luther "Junior" Slate(Diane), Rachel Webster, and Louise Coble. 

Memorial services will be held at 2pm, Friday, August 26, 2022, at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service, Lambeth Chapel, 300 West Wendover Ave. Greensboro, NC 27408 with Rev. Kristen Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm prior to the service.
