Obituary of Theresa Ann Kula "Terri" Townsend

Theresa (Terri) Ann Kula Townsend, 74, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. Theresa was born on November 16, 1947, in Wilmington, Delaware to Stanley and Alice Kula., both deceased. She attended Saint Hedwig’s Catholic School and graduated from H. Fletcher Brown Technical High School in Wilmington, Delaware. 

Theresa was a devoted wife and mother, and was extremely proud of her Polish heritage. She was a friend to all she met and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Theresa was an exceptional cook and loved hosting gatherings for her friends and family. She was also an avid gardener. 

Theresa is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Townsend and two daughters, Sarah and Jessica Townsend. She is also survived by her brother, Albert Kula. 

A funeral mass for Theresa will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC with Fr. Joseph Wasswa officiating. The family will receive friends and family at their home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania or online at theaftd.org.
