I can clearly remember as a child running around my grandparents house and feeling excited knowing my uncle Fred and my aunt Lois ann were coming to visit. I loved being around my aunt because she was always so soft spoken so sweet and proper and very much a lady. It wasn't often I could or would sit still but I loved hearing uncle Fred talk about killing deer and turkeys, I was to young at the time but man that made me wanna go hunting ! I can remember smelling the woods on him and taking notice of the camouflage patterns on his hunting clothes and wanting to see as much of his hunting gear as possible, He's most likely the one to blame for my hunting addiction I have to this very day. I never herd my uncle Fred yell or even raise his voice,I never herd him say a bad word about anyone and he was always a gentleman to my aunt. From his service to his country to the way he lived and finished his life I'm proud to say I knew Fred Carter and I'm even more honored to have had the privilege of calling him uncle.
