Obituary of Lillian Louise Jones Carchetti

Lillian Louise Jones Carchetti, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Beacon Place Hospice in Greensboro, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Cleo Jones and Alice Smith Dupree Jones, her husband of 48 years, Salvator Louis “Sam” Carchetti, and a daughter, Anett Yvonne Carchetti Brande.

She is survived by three children:  Michael Anthony “Tony” Carchetti of Greensboro, NC, Casey Carchetti of Rochester, NY, and Norma Lea Carchetti Curtis and husband, Bryan L. Curtis of Greensboro, NC; ten grandchildren:  Tonya, Angie, Samantha, Charles “Charlie”, Tasha, Timothy “Tim”, Jenna, Michael, David, and Erin Elizabeth; ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

Lillian was born March 11, 1925, in Vanceboro, NC. She spent most of her years working and raising her children in Greensboro, NC. She retired from Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Lillian lived a full and wonderful life with family and friends. She enjoyed painting, stained glass and making Chrismon angels for anyone she met.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Lakeview Memorial Park, Greensboro, NC. The family will greet friends from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Lambeth Chapel.
