Obituary of Ronnie James
Ronnie James was born November 18, 1972 to the late Estelle James and Roscoe Presley in New York. At an early age, Ronnie moved to South Carolina.
Ronnie graduated from Cheraw High School in Cheraw, South Carolina in 1991. After graduation, Ronnie returned to New York City. He was reunited with family and friends that he had forged an unbreakable bond with. As a young adult, Ronnie and some of his closest loved ones started The Fantastic Four. Eric, Ta-Tanisha, Valerie, and Ronnie were inseparable.
Ronnie was a hardworking and dedicated man, husband, and father. He worked for several companies that valued his work ethics, dedication, and big heart. Ronnie spent 5 years sharing his talents and heart with Con Edison and left this job upon moving to North Carolina.
Hanging out one night with his childhood friend, Chris Pickel, he was introduced to the woman he would spend the rest of his life with; Dara Bolden. He did not know that evening was going to turn into 29 years of love and commitment. Just recently, Ronnie and Dara celebrated 13 years of pure happiness as a married couple.
In 2007, Ronnie and Dara moved their family to Kernersville, North Carolina, where Ronnie worked the last 7 years for Southern Pharmacy Services. Prior to Southern Pharmacy Services, Ronnie worked for Dollar/Thrifty and Duke Energy.
This man was a true, arduous provider for his family. Ronnie was also a dedicated member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he served as President of the United Methodist Men, Vice President of the Trustee Board, overseer of the Bethesda Center for holiday feedings, member of the Men’s Choir, and worked with the Tech Ministry. Ronnie did not allow his illness to dim the sparkle he carried in his eyes or his heart. A man of strong faith, he trusted God to carry him through his final days holding His hand and claiming the victory.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his wife Dara James of Kernersville, NC; his children Desiree Tinsley, Darin, Malaki, and Mason James all in Kernersville, NC.
