Obituary of Jessee P. Olsen

Jessee P. Olsen of Kernersville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2020. He was born on June 4, 1975 in New Orleans, LA to the late Ronald Alford Olsen and Judith Lynne Gaddis Olsen.

Jessee is survived by his beloved wife Toshiko “Toi” Marie Olsen; his children Adam Alexander Olsen (Maxine), Jacob Michael Olsen, and Samantha Marie Olsen; his bonus family, De’Landa “Mamma D” Adams, Jacquez “Quez” Brown, Chandler “Chan” Brown, and De’Laycia “Layce” Brown. He is also survived by his siblings Johnnie Taylor Olsen and Kristen Jean Olsen.

Jessee is preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Judi; and grandmothers, Fay Olsen and Mildred Murrell.

Jessee grew up in Louisiana and moved to North Carolina in 2005. He worked for many years in construction and was blessed to work for Jerry and Carson at Medford Construction. He was a Deacon and a youth leader at The Bridge Church in Kernersville, NC. He practiced various martial arts for many years attending Han Mu Do of Mandeville in Louisiana and most recently Greensboro Judo Club. He obtained a third-degree black belt in Han Mu Do, a black belt in Judo, and a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu. He is the only individual to win the He-Young Kimm Cup three times, and has also achieved many other medals, trophies, and awards. He was loved for his humorous personality and will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 24th at The Bridge Fellowship in Kernersville, NC, but due to recent events a live stream of the service will be available on the church’s website at www.youareloved.org.
