I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Clyde. It was a joy growing up next door to the Davis family in Greensboro as a child, and I have very fond memories of Clyde. I remember Clyde as always being very kind, and helpful. Back in those days, us kids didn't knock on the neighbors door, we just walked into each others houses. I walked into Clyde's house one day, looking for Craven, without giving a thought to the string that Clyde had tied around his front porch, meaning, stay off! I just painted the porch! When I couldn't find Craven anywhere in the house, I turned to walk back through the house the way I had come, and discovered paint footprints across the floor and carpet where I had traversed. About that time, Clyde walked into the house and had seen what had happened. Clyde picked me up, and carried me back outside the house. I'm sure that Clyde was steaming mad over this incident, but he never showed any anger towards me. My sincere condolences go out to the Davis family. Ya'll had a great Dad and husband!

To Barbara and Clyde's Family:
No matter where or when I saw Clyde, he always had a beaming smle that drew people to him. I talked with him while he was in the hospital, and he was looking forward to going home the next day. He and Barbara had so many trips and so many
good adventures together. The work of the Lord is perfection of our Souls, Many of his followers reach that goal sooner than others. I think Clyde met the Lord's goal quicker than we expected; but he left us with memories and good deeds that will last our lifetime until we spiritually meet again. May God Bless Barbara and his Family and give them that :"peace that passeth all understanding."

Dear Barbara and Family,
Ruth and I express our sympathy in the passing of Clyde. He was a dedicated follower of Christ. We know you loved him dearly and he loved you the same.
We are shocked that he left so suddenly. It reminds me of the fact that our Lord will return one day to take us home.
When I visited him in the hospital, I could see his faith in God in his words and actions.
We pray for God to comfort you with the gift of faith He has given you to go through this difficult time in your life.
In Christian Love,
Deryl and Ruth Holliday
