I am so very sorry for your loss of Tommy, even though I didn’t get to know him personally. Losing a loved one in death can be very distressing for us to go through. But the Bible promises us a comforting hope at John 5:28,29 which says,”Do not be amazed at this for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out!” What a wonderful time that will be to reunite with our loved ones again. That time is very soon! For more comforting promises from the Bible check out jw.org.

I can remember my Uncle Tommy sitting on the front porch at my grandparents house on Sundays after church talking to the rest of the family out there, and I always remember his laugh. He had the best laugh! He loved to pick and joke better than to eat when he was hungry. But I also remember his love for the Lord and that never faltered. I will miss him much and his laugh. Welcome home Uncle Tommy, we will see you soon!

It is with real sadness of heart to have learned of brother Tommy's passing, he was a true friend, and brother in Christ with whom i was blessed to work with for more than 15 years. Although I know he is shouting now in glory, Earth will be a little more silent, for his praises and shouts to the glory of God will be missed by many. Our prayers and condolences go out to his dear wife Sandy, and to all the family. Until we meet again, we will remember him for his dedication to the Lord and his wife, his tireless work ethic, and the joy and gladness he brought to those who knew and love him. May The God of all comfort bless you all, and you can certainly rest in the knowledge that we will see him again.

This man left his mark on this earth! I will always be thankful to the Lord for Tommy Pope and Sandy. They exhibited so much love and guidance for the youth that they worked with many years ago at Smith Grove. They were a beacon of light for parents raising teenagers, as we were. His joyful disposition will never be forgotten. May the Lord bless and be near to Sandy and the family as they adjust to this void in their life. A smile will always come when we remember Tommy.

Dear Sandy and family,
We were so saddened to hear of Tommy's passing. Tommy was a special individual who loved the Lord and didn't mind sharing that love with everyone he met. We will all be praying for you at Smith Grove - may God wrap His arms around you and give you comfort.

I had the pleasure of working with Preacher Tommy at Williams Steel for some time. He was a fine Christian man; and, I enjoyed fellowshipping with him as we talked about the Lord. May God bless and comfort you during this difficult time. Pastor Larry Andrews
