Kernersville-Dewey George “Pop” Mort, 81, died April 30, 2015. “Pop” enjoyed spending time on the golf course, bowling, and fishing at the lake. He is survived by his wife, of almost 53 years, Sylvia Rose Mort; daughters Gwendolyn Winchester and Debra Mort; step-daughter Kathie Francis; step-son Terry Boothe; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter.
