Obituary of Georgia Johnson

Kernersville-Georgia Marine Johnson, 73, passed away May 6, 2015. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Friday May 8, 2015 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Forsyth County, Georgia is the daughter of the late Flossie Annabelle Loy and George Joseph Marine. She was a member of Welcome Door Baptist Church. She was retired from Kay Chemicals. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her siblings Roy Marine, Jimmy Marine, Evelyn Sykes, Carolyn Atkins, Joanne Pinnix, and Mary. Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years Floyd Johnson of the home; daughter Wendy McKaughan Uttley of Kernersville; sons Ronnie McKaughan and Reva of Cherokee, and Charles Garner and Ashley of Kernersville; grandchildren Brittney, Michael, Matthew, Aaron, Amy, Teresa and Skyler; great-grandchildren AJ and Mekenzie; sisters Sandra Pope, Margie Marine, and Sylvia Teague; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends from 6-7:30PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
