Obituary of Carey Atkins

Colfax-Carey Lloyd Atkins, 48, died June 27, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held 1:00PM Saturday July 2, 2011 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Bauguess officiating. A native of Guilford County, Carey was the son of the late Nannie Ruth Burger and Beverly Gene Atkins. He was a painter by trade. Survivors include his sisters Linda Stafford of King, Deborah Taylor of Kernersville, Pamela Harris of Georgia, and Kim Bolejack of Kernersville; brothers Doug Atkins of Kernersville, Jack Atkins of Danbury, and Richard Atkins of Jonesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
