Obituary of Michael Shaw

Kernersville-Michael Steven Shaw, 52, died December 12, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 7:00PM Friday, December 16, 2011 at The Bridge on Old Greensboro Road with Pastor D.A. Brown officiating. A native of Forsyth County, “Mike” was the son of the late Lucile Myers Shaw and William John Shaw, Sr. Mike was graduated from Forsyth County Schools and has been disabled since 1996. He had worked for a number of years with Wachovia Bank in Winston-Salem. He truly loved his son, Matthew, and taking him on trips to the Mountains. Survivors include his son Matthew Steven Shaw of Kernersville; wife Mona Cole Shaw of Kernersville; brothers William John Shaw, Jr. and Timothy David Shaw; nephew Josh Shaw; aunt Betty Linville of Winston-Salem; and his cousin Cheryle Hawkins. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at The Bridge on Friday evening.
