Betty Waugh

Obituary of Betty Waugh

Greensboro-Betty Louise Morrison “Betsy” Waugh, 78, went home to be with her Lord Thursday March 15, 2012. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Monday March 19, 2012 at Faith Presbyterian Church on Friendly Avenue with Rev. John Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A native of Carthage, Betsy was the daughter of the late Lucille Frye and Make B. Morrison. She was a longtime member of Faith Presbyterian Church. Betsy loved to use her talents for coloring and decorating to make her home warm and welcoming to all who came to visit. She also loved cooking and was equally at ease with “Southern” cooking or elegant dinners for family and guests. Her charm, dry wit, and caring ways won her many friends, and she certainly cherished them all. Survivors include her loving husband, of almost 61 years, Robert Thomas “Bob” Waugh of the home; daughter Pamela W. Pizza and Pat of Creston; grandchildren Rob Hines and Kate of Holly Springs, Joy Boquin and Todd of Apex; five great-grandchildren Will, Wes, and Ethan Hines, and Cole and Brenner Boquin; sister Joan Morrison McLean of Carthage; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM Sunday afternoon at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, 213 W. Mountain Street in Kernersville and other times at the home.
