Obituary of James Mason

Biography Kernersville-James William Mason, 58, died March 18, 2012 at Pitt County Hospital following several weeks of declining health. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 1:00PM Thursday March 22, 2012 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. A native of Oneida County, New York, "Jimmy" was the son of the late Nora Louise Darrh and Otis "Bud" Mason. He served his country with the US Marine Corps. He was a roofer for a number of years and recently had worked as a Security Guard at Mickey's Beach Bingo. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a sister Ann Mason and a brother Bobby Mason. Survivors include his daughter Angela Rackley and Tim of Kernersville; sons Jeremy Mason and Justin Mason both of Winston-Salem; his longtime companion Linda Mason; grandchildren Matthew, Emily, and Hailey; sister Christine York and Junior of Wallburg; and brother Greg Tew of Winston-Salem. The family will visit with friends from 11:00AM until 12:45PM Thursday at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
