Obituary of Patricia Cook

Walkertown-Patricia Ann “Pat” Reynolds Cook, 62, went home to be with her Lord April 2, 2012 following a gallant battle with Cancer. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Saturday April 7, 2012 at First Christian Church with Pastor Dr. Pete Kunkle, Pastor Dean Tsiolkas,and Pastor Jimmy Shields officiating. A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Pat was the daughter of the late Augusta Williams and Eugene Reynolds. She was a graduate of Brescia University in Owensboro. She started teaching at First Christian Academy in the Fall of 1999. She was a strong advocate, and assisted with, a Ministry called GLOBAL NEXT which was designed to help children with communication and Christian leadership. The children included in the program were handpicked and all have excelled in life. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband Charles Proctor Cook who died in 2000. Survivors include her son Deric Roger Cook and Carrie of Walkertown; grandchildren Clara and Proctor; sister Barri Christian of Frankfurt, KY and Renee Reyes of Atlanta, GA; her brother Leon McLamb and Judy of Georgia; those who called her “Nana” Demitrios, Helena & Hayley Tsiolkas, Katie & Lindsey Layfield; God Son Dean Tsiolkas & wife Tracy; special friends Patti Sheets, Phyllis Layfield, and Tim Wall; and a host of kids who were touched by her love. The family will visit with friends from 9:45AM until 10:45AM prior to the service at the church on Saturday, and the family will not be visiting following the service.
