Obituary of Frances Duggins

Kernersville-Frances Brown Duggins, 90, passed away September 24, 2012. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Thursday September 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Interment will be in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Guilford County, Frances was the youngest of eleven children born to Curb Brown and Sarah Adams Brown. A life long resident of Kernersville, she graduated from the former Kernersville High School Class of '39. She retired from Western Electric in Winston-Salem and was a Pioneer. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Dorcas Sunday School Class, and the B Friendly Senior Group of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Therlo Duggins, four sisters and six brothers. Survivors include her nieces who cared for her the last several years Mary Rose Vanhoy and Gaylene Campbell both of Kernersville; she had a special niece Sally Nelson of Brookline, MA and nephew Danny Nelson of Oak Ridge; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will visit with friends at the church on Thursday from 1:00PM until time for the service.
