Obituary of Ralph Eckrote

Biography Kernersville-Ralph "Grandpa" Eckrote, left this earth September 27, 2012 at the ripe old age of 102. Ralph was born February 19, 1910 in Sybertsville, Pennsylvania to the late Aerio and Rettie Eckrote. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Gladys Poltrock Eckrote and six sisters. Survivors include his son David Jay Eckrote and his wife Becky of Kernersville; grandsons David Jay Eckrote, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Kernersville, and Shane Warf and his wife Felicity of California; granddaughter Shannon Wilson and her husband Scott of Winston-Salem; and great-granddaughters Brittany Metts, Hayden Eckrote, Kendall Beach and Zoe, and Zia and Zara Wilson. At his request, he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife in a private service at Elan Memorial Park in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
