Obituary of Robert Bowman

Winston-Salem-Robert Gray Bowman, 78, died October 7, 2012. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Wednesday October 10, 2012 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. A native of Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Blanche Wilson and Charles Poindexter Bowman. He was a manager for the Forsyth County ABC Board for a number of years. He also had been a member of the Winston-Salem Elks Club #449 for a number of years. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by sisters Jean Wiles and Betty Forester, brothers Bill, Charles, Roy Lee, and Jackie Bowman, and grandson Dylan Paul Bowman. Survivors include his wife Viola Bowman of Kernersville; son Arnold Gray Bowman and Jenny of Kernersville; grandson Devan Gray Bowman of Kernersville; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
