Obituary of Bennie Stutts

Biography Kernersville-Bennie Robert Stutts, 72, passed away October 12, 2012. Funeral Services remembering his life will be held 11:00AM Tuesday October 16, 2012 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of the Dover Community in Moore County, he was the son of the late Sally Elizabeth Davis and James Kermit Stutts. He served his country with the US Navy. He was a welder by trade and worked for a number of years with Finzer Roller Company in Kernersville. He was a member of the American Legion Post #55, he was a 32nd Degree Mason member of Kernersville Masonic Lodge #669 and a member of the Scottish Rite, and also a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #421. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his sister Patsy and brothers Paul and Vernon. Survivors include his loving wife of almost 50 years Linda Settle Stutts of the home; daughters Belinda Stutts and her fiancé© Robert Oliver of Clemmons, and Patricia Stutts Brock of Kernersville; grandchildren Jennifer Howell and David, Jacqueline Howell and David, Amber Howell, Steven Howell and Taylor, and their father Steve Howell, and Katie Brock and Ian, Benjamin Brock, and their father Paul Brock; great-grandchildren Savannah, Mikalah, Hayleigh, Alainah, Noah, and Ally; sisters Teenie Hussey and JC, Margie Williams and Lewis, and Jewelene Cagle and her husband Larry, who passed on Thursday; brothers Reece Stutts and Eleanor, and Billy Stutts and Janice; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
