Obituary of Irene Meadows

Walkertown - Irene K. Meadows, 73, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on October 18, 2012. Funeral services celebrating her life will be at 11 AM on Sunday October 21, 2012 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kernersville. Interment will be on Monday October 22, 2012 at 11 AM at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. A native of Forsyth County, she was the daughter of the late Victor Lee Knight and Ruby Idol Knight, Irene was preceded in death by her sister, Colleen K. Snyder, and brothers' Benny and Worth Knight. Survivors include her children, Curtis Joe Meadows of Kernersville; Charlotte M. Blanton and fiancé©, Darrell of Wilmington; Carlton Ray Meadows and Cindy of Winston-Salem; Dewey "Joe" Meadows, Jr. and Shannon of Walkertown. Irene also leaves behind her grandchildren, Zachary, Jesse, Ryan, Tres, Cody, Austin, Tisha, Danielle, Gage, and Justin, as well as one great-grandchild, Blaze. All of which were her pride and joy! Surviving brothers include, Denver, Floyd, Dennis, and Dewey Knight. And many cherished nieces and nephews. The family will visit with friends on Saturday October 20, 2012 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home from 6 - 8 PM.
