Obituary of June Johnson

Mrs. June Leach Johnson, 82, of Greensboro, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 30th at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with the Reverend John Jarman officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Johnson was born June 23, 1929 in Greensboro, to Floyd A. and Annalou Newman Leach. She was married to the late Bill A. Johnson Sr. and was a member of Rankin Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Bill A. Johnson (Sherry Sharpe Johnson) of Greensboro; sister Jacqueline Wheeler, of Greensboro; brother, Jerry Leach (Susan) of Florida; sister-in-law, Shirley Leach, of Florida; grandchildren, Felicia Wright (Todd), Bill Johnson III (Chris), Lisa Johnson (Kevin), and Mark Sharpe (Dr. Danielle Mahaffey); 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home and at other times at 2510 Campbell Street, Greensboro.
