Obituary of Evelyn Coble

Evelyn V. Coble Evelyn V. Coble , 83 died March 15, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital resulting from failing health. She fell asleep in the loving arms of her Lord to wait the blessed hope of resurrection. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday March 18, 2009 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ron Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. Miss Coble was born December 11, 1925 in Guilford County, NC to Date and Mary Era Nicks Coble. She served as a secretary for the J.D. Wilkins Company for xx years. A member of the Greensboro Seventh Day Adventist Church for over 70 years where she served over the years as Church Clerk, Treasurer and Flower Coordinator. She will always be remembered for her loving kindness, sense of humor, plentiful letter and card writing, and her ever present camera with which she took many snapshots of friends and family. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister Marian Rudisill. Survivors include her brother Louis Coble and his wife Joy of Pleasant Garden, NC, nephew Martin Coble of High Point, niece Wendy Coble of Woodbridge, VA, her cat Miss Kitty and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home Memorial contributions may be made to the Flower Fund at First Greensboro Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1320 Fleming Road, Greensboro, NC 27410.
