Obituary of Eddie Gilmore

Mr. Eddie Gilmore, 68, of Greensboro, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Moses Cone Hospital. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, at Lakeview Memorial Park, with Pastor John DeVine III officiating. Mr. Gilmore was born March 2, 1941, in Guilford County to Eddie M. and Sadie Mays Gilmore. He was married to the late Lou Anne Gilmore. He retired from Cone Mills with over 35 years of service. Mr. Gilmore is survived by his daughter, Shannon Roberts and husband Benjamin of Greensboro; grandsons, Jarrett and Matthew Roberts; nieces, Susan (Mitch) Campbell, Gail Newsome, and Callie Lovell and nephew, Kenneth Ball. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service.
