Obituary of Robert Hornaday

Robert Lee Hornaday Sr., 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 of Greensboro. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Ricky Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Robert retired from Cone Mills White Oak Plant. He coached numerous softball teams, and was an avid bowler. He was a member of Sheldon Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dimer Hornaday, siblings, William 'Bug' Hornaday and Juanita Davis. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Faye Meadows Hornaday, of the home; children, Maria Welborn (Ronnie), of Browns Summit, Debbie Pierce (Wade), of Asheboro, Christy Hornaday, of Greensboro, Robbie Hornaday (Tonya), of the home; grandchildren, Cleve Allred, of Leland, Kenneth 'P-nut' Austin, of the home, Tina Williams (Billy), of Reidsville, Natalie Rougk (Donald), of Asheboro, Tabatha 'T.J.' Allred, of Browns Summit, Megan Lewis, of Trinity, Gavin Pierce, of Holly Springs, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings, Janelle Foster (Ned), of Kimesville, Judy Crider (Arthur), of Browns Summit, Wayne Hornaday, of Greensboro, Becky Perkins, of Winston-Salem, and numerous nieces and nephews.
