Obituary of Polly Alberty

Mary Polly Alberty, 82, of Greensboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2010. Polly was born April 26, 1928, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late William Oscar Alberty and Wonnie Flack Alberty. Polly graduated from Mooresville High School and was an employee of Cone's White Oak Mill until her retirement. Polly loved to read and enjoyed having opportunities to travel. She was a welcomed friend to everyone she met. Polly was predeceased by her sisters, Eunice Alberty and Marjorie Kimble, and her brothers, Ernest Alberty and Arnold Alberty. Polly is survived by her brother, L. D. (Pete) Alberty, of Nevada. Other survivors include her nieces, Susan Herring, Anna Morgan, Frances Henson, and Tammy Chandler, and her nephew, Steven Alberty. Polly is also survived by her dear cousin and friend, Fred Puckett, and his wife Frances. Polly had many other cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and friends over her lifetime whom she loved. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 25, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home with the Rev. James Talbert officiating. The family will receive friends at Lambeth-Troxler one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
