Obituary of Charmian Lee Jones

We mourn the loss of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Charmian Lee Jones, who passed away on May 9, 2024. Known as “Lee” to many, she served as a dedicated nurse for over 20 years at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital’s School of Medicine. She was a beacon of light in the lives of the countless people she loved and served.

Lee demonstrated unwavering compassion and care towards her patients and colleagues throughout her professional life, often going beyond her duties to ensure their comfort. She was awarded numerous appreciations and accolades, and her colleagues admired her grit and tenacity, while her patients cherished her gentle and reassuring demeanor.

As a devoted mother, Charmian instilled strong values in her children. Her incredible patience, understanding, and endless love shaped the individuals they are today.

We will miss Charmian’s love, her laughter, her sense of adventure, and her ability to make everyone feel special while always being impeccably dressed and coordinated in her sun-shining style. As we navigate this difficult time, we take solace in knowing that her legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
