Obituary of Baby Bryson A'Mir Rodgers

Bryson A'Mir Rodgers of Kernersville passed away on May 18, 2023 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he was the son of Byron and Angel Rodgers. Bryson entered this world early at 25 weeks and 6 days. He showed us early on how mighty and special he was. Although he was very premature, he was reaching milestones early on while in the NICU. Extubated early after birth, taken off CPAP a few days early, and attempting to take a bottle a few days sooner than expected. We knew early on how special he was. We just didn't know that you were so special that God would choose to call you home early. Bryson is survived by his loving parents, Byron and Angel Rodgers; his grandparents, Juliette Beard, Eugene Rodgers, Lisa Lewis-Kelly and Billy Kelly; his great-grandparents, Rose Edwards, Alice Nicholson, Julia-Mae Rodgers; his aunts, Kayla Kelly and Brieanna Rodgers; his uncles, Jaquan Beard, Eugene Rodgers, Levi Kelly, and Dashawn Kelly; his godparents, Kourtny Whitley and Tyrone Hester; and a host of loving cousins, great aunts and great uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Beard; his great-grandmother, Mary Gettys; his great-grandfathers, Garland Edwards and Calvin Nicholson. The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville NC 27284 on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Funeral services will follow in the Kernersville Chapel at 12:00PM with Bishop John Parks officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, North Carolina.
