Obituary of Rachel Shelton Hester Barbre

Rachel Shelton Hester Barbre went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 03, 2023. She was born August 22, 1940 in Rockingham County Madison, N.C., to, Claude Dennis Shelton and Vera Lunsford Shelton Shoe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Reverend Earl C. Hester, and Henry (Bob) Barbre. Also, her sisters Billy Sue Shelton and Brenda Shelton Tesh; and a brother Thomas Marion Shelton Senior.

Rachel is survived by one sister Wanda Faye Shelton Lucas and a great niece, Jamie Lynn Tesh. Two daughters Windie Lynn Rominger Eagle (Kenneth) and Deborah Hester Bowling. Grandchildren; Kristian Wall (Steve), Ricky Wall Jr., Daniel Rominger (Melanie), Dale Hester (Cary) and David Bowling. Granddaughter -n-Law Shannon Wall and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She also leaves to cherish her memory, a loving church family including her church grandchildren whom she loved dearly, several nieces, nephew and cousins.

Rachel is retired after 21 years from Winston-Salem Forsyth

County School System. A charter member of White Road Baptist Church, in Belews Creek, N.C.

The family will receive family and friends Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm before the funeral service at White Road Baptist Church, 7035 Belews Creek Road, Belews Creek, NC 27009.The funeral service will begin at 12noon at the church with burial following in the church cemetery.
