Obituary of Willa Karen Courcy

Willa Karen Courcy, 77, of Kernersville passed away on April 14, 2023. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late William and Eula (Louis) Colegrove. 

Mom enjoyed cooking, feeding and advising family and anyone else whom needed it. Our mama lived life! Loving, adventurous, generous, witty, selfless, amazing cook are just a few words to describe her.

She'll be missed dearly by her husband, Peter Courcy; children, Rusty Dowell (Joyce), Lisa Dowell, Madge Angel, and D.J. Tuttle; grandchildren, Charles King (Alejandra), Karen Vaughan (Jon), Megan Whittenberger (Preston), Will Angel (Michaela), Rebecca Dowell, Chase Sowers, Brianna Sapp and many more grandchildren all over the United States. She had two special great-grandchildren: Zaylee Angel (Pookie) and Zane Angel (Boy boy) that she spent lots of special time with as well. She also leaves to cherish her memory a loving brother, Charles Colegrove. 

Mama requested no services so we will honor her wishes. She just wants to be remembered as happy and free.
