Obituary of Marjorie Ellen Wilkins

Mrs. Marjorie Wilkins, 88, of Colfax, NC passed away peacefully Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was a loving wife, grandmother and great grandmother. A native of Dayton, OH, Marjorie was the wife of the late Richard Sherwood Wilkins, Sr., and the daughter of Willam Lee and Vera Louise Rader, both deceased. Marge was a retired nurse and with her husband had owned several businesses in Lexington KY, including the Parkette Drive-in. She was an avid KY Wildcat fan and all-around sports enthusiast. Survivors include her daughter, Nadia Lynn Miller, and husband, Michael of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Kelley, husband, Nathanael, Annandale, VA; Ian Miller, Winston Salem, NC; Garrett Miller, Charlotte, NC; son Richard (Rick) Sherwood Wilkins, Jr, and grandson Justin Wilkins, Lexington KY; four great grandchildren, Vivian, Emmeline, Margot and Clara Kelley, Annandale, VA; and multiple nephews, nieces and family members across the country. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by sisters, Jean Ficht, Lima, OH; Janet Taylor, Johnson City, SC; brother Ben Rader, Dayton, OH and sister Doris Trimble, Lakeland FL. A memorial service, celebrating her life, will be held at River Landing at Sandy Ridge, 1575 John Knox Dr., Colfax, NC 27235 on March 23rd , 2023, at 11:00AM.
