Obituary of Naomi Young Martin

Naomi Young Martin, 79, Born April 10, 1943, resident of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully Friday, March 10, 2023.

Naomi was the wife of the late Vernell Martin and the daughter of Rufus Miller and Thelma Young Martin, both deceased.

Naomi is survived by her three daughters, Peggy Martin Goolsby (Ron), Donna Wood (Jeff) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Beverly Martin of Kernersville, NC ; three sons, Vernell Martin, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC , Michael Martin, and Jimmy Martin of Kernersville, NC; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and so many more loved ones.

In addition to her husband and parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her son, Jason Leon Martin.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Church of the Living God, 7552 Happy Hill Road, Stokesdale, NC 27284 with Bishop Terry L. Young officiating. Interment will follow at Lowes Memorial Cemetery, 8600 Haw River Road, Oak Ridge, NC 27310. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Thursday prior to the service at the church.
