Anna Marie was my aunt, moms brothers wife. We had such good times growing up with them visiting us as kids. My dad would drive us up to the mountains and Ann would scream the whole way up and back. We all had to laugh at her. My dad loved to scare her. After Herb passed she would come to Kingman to visit us. We all loved to go out to eat. We would always ask Ann, "what kind of dressing do you want on your salad?" She would always reply,"something sweet." We will all miss "something sweet." She was such a sweet lady! Hugs and kisses to all the family!

Anna Marie has always been in my life. Herb and Ann were married out of high school. They were 7 years older but Herb and I were always close. Gary Lee was born in our home when I was only 11. I remember Ann always sitting on Herbs lap. They were the most loving couple I had ever known. Jack and I had wonderful times as we grew older: playing games, signing. Ann had a beautiful voice. We went on trips together like Mexico City and climbed to the top of the Pyramid while our guide stayed at the bottom and watched and laughed. We were so sore the next day, we knew then what the guide was laughing about. Ha! We went to bullfighting and left early because Ann didn't want to watch the bull get killed. Jack always took us to the cave in the Huachuca Mountains. It was fun going up the hole to go to the other side. We all laughed when Herb had to push Ann through the hole. She said, "Oh Herbie, I can do it." A time we went to Bisbee to spend the day and see the sites and our Mercury quit and we had to be towed with us all inside the car. We had to sit reverse 45' angle all the way home. We were all laughing so hard! We tried to visit each other as our children grew. Ann and Herb and Mitzi came to visit when Doug was in a school play, "Man of Le Moncha." Ann was crying and said that it was better than the broadway show, "Hello Dolly" in NYC. I will always remember the good times through the years and look forward when I can be with them all again smiling to welcome us. Much love to the family! Aunt Shirley
