Obituary of Dorothy G. Kellam

Dorothy Mae Kellam, 86, of Browns Summit passed away on March 6, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital Greensboro.  A native of Guilford County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James and Etta (Minor) Gant and wife of the late Ralph Thomas Kellam.
She was a devoutly strong Christian, and her life was her church. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend Martha Peele, sewing, reading mystery and romance novels and Find a Word books.  She had 2 dogs, Zoey and Tinky that meant the world to her. 

Dorothy is survived by her loving and devoted daughter; Connie Stone of Pleasant Garden, NC; grandchildren, Jenna Shae Stone of Pleasant Garden, NC, Lisa Michelle Kellam of Greensboro, NC, one sister; Kathleen Hill of Winston- Salem, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lee Kellam, grandchildren Nicholas Tate Stone and Matthew Leighton Stone, a sister, Ida Mae Whitfield, and a brother, Paul Gant.

The family will receive friends at Pierce Jefferson, Lambeth Chapel on Thursday, March 9,2023 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 10,2023 at Gospel Baptist Church 5945 N. Church Street, Greensboro, NC 27455 with Pastor Paul Luttrell, officiating.  Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greensboro.
