Obituary of Tamara Jean Mabe Westmoreland

Ms. Tamara Jean Mabe Westmoreland, 61, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 14th, 2023, in Kernesville, NC. She passed away with the sun shining down on her from what we believe to be a silent heart attack.

She was born on August 31, 1961, in Stokes County, NC, to Barbara Sue Hall and Danny O'Neil Mabe. Ms. Tamara Westmoreland was a beautiful woman with a huge heart. She was loved by so many friends and her family. Before she retired early, she was a nursing assistant. She was the type of woman who would give you her shirt off her back, and she never met a stranger. Once she cared for you, you remained in her heart forever. She liked to talk for hours at a time. She enjoyed shopping for the best deals to fill her house with beautiful pieces that flowed naturally. She carried her faith in God with her everywhere she went. She always had a passion for arts and crafts, painting landscapes in her younger years. She delighted in welcoming people into her home and was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking a home-cooked meal. You'd never leave hungry if it were up to her. She loved her family with everything she had. So many people will dearly miss her absence because she touched everyone she met with that heart of gold.

Ms. Westmoreland is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Talena Marie Westmoreland Clutts and Daniel Clutts of Germanton, NC; a daughter, Tasha Nicole Westmoreland; a grandson, Jacob Nields; a granddaughter, Sara Vincent of Greensboro, NC; her mother, Barbara Sue Hall; her sisters, Terrie Mabe, Connie Denny, and Lynn Nance; and her brother, Michael Duggins. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny O'Neil Mabe; her sister, Candi Pegram; and her, grandparents.

There will be a small service and time of visitation and between 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel on Saturday, February 25, 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may sent to Salvation Army or Feeding America.
