Randall Hill Gibson, age 79, of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2022, after several months of declining health.

He was born to the late Robert H. and Rae S. Gibson on November 24, 1942, in Greensboro, North Carolina, and spent his earlier years in both Greensboro and Winston-Salem. He attended R.J. Reynolds High School and Wake Forest University.

Randy loved music and became an accomplished pianist at an early age. He was organist at Southside Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, for several years and was Program Director for WSJS Radio and a popular DJ on the “Randy Gibson Show” in the 1970’s. Besides his love for music, Randy loved his family, the beach, and talked frequently of his beloved Mymommy and Beepaw.

In the mid 1980’s Randy took his talent to Canada. He moved to Toronto, Ontario, and began performing at large hotel functions, the Toronto Convention Centre, the Canadian National Exhibition and numerous private events. He also held the positions of Supervisor at Telemedia Results Group, as well as Reservations Sales Representative for Choice Hotels where he became a member of the “Million Dollar Club”.

Randy is survived by his two children, Joseph Scott Gibson of Pfafftown, North Carolina, and Christy Gibson Buelin (Allen) of Mocksville, North Carolina; one grandson, Christopher Joseph Gibson; and his three siblings, Robert M. Gibson (Joyce), of Lancaster, South Carolina, William H. Gibson (Ann) of Little River, South Carolina, and Julie Gibson Scott, of Liberty, North Carolina. He will also be missed by his long-time friend Ronald Oak, and fondly remembered by his many friends in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario.
