Obituary of Opal Mae Lowe Lamb

Opal Mae Lowe Lamb, 91, of Raleigh, NC, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 5, 2022

 

A native of Carroll County, VA, Opal was the wife of the late Jay Warner Lamb and the daughter of Gollie Thomas Lowe and Delphia Lona Brannock Lowe, both deceased.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Diana Khan and husband, Rameez of Winston-Salem, and Dawn Michelle “Shelly” Lamb of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Natasha Sides and husband, Matt, and Nicholas Khan; great grandchildren, Aasha Khan, Nathaniel Sides, and Dylan Sides; and five nephews, Larry Hodges, Michael Hodges, Jerry Bryce Hodges, Anthony Lowe, Delmer Amburn; and her beloved dog, Milo.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Opal was preceded in death by sisters, Lessie Galyean, Cleddie Lowe, Ailsa Hodges, and Lucille Amburn; brother, Noah Lowe; and nephews, Shane Hodges, Doug Hodges, and L. D. Galyean; and nieces, Jewela Goins, and Robin Hodges.

 

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 1:00PM Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. There will be a family visitation from 12:30PM to 1:00PM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Fisher Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 580 Carson Creek Road, Low Gap, NC 27024.
